Bratislava Region
Region Bratislava
WATER & WINE, HISTORY & SUN
The Bratislava region is the smallest region in Slovakia in terms of size, but the variety of remarkable places makes it one of the most interesting ones! The region is rich in aesthetic natural landscapes and important monuments. There are outstanding viewpoints, beautiful forests, bike paths along the Danube, interesting geological sites and impressive historical and sacred sites. The Bratislava region has its very own little hotspots, where the region can be experienced to its fullest.
Záhorie, which lies west of the capital, is a natural paradise in which pine forests dominate.
The little Carpathians (north of the capital) are decorated by vineyards. Here you can experience folk tradition up close and good wine as well as excellent food.
Senec, east of Bratislava, is known for its clean lakes.
Podunajsko (Danube area) is mainly associated with the Danube and is characterized by water sports such as canoeing, sailing and rafting. Here you can find hot springs and outdoor swimming pools, which are open all year round. Finally, there is of course Bratislava, the metropolis, the gate to the region, with its vibrant and lively happenings.
